Facial Hair Wigs: Fake hair pieces that are natural and realistic.

Creative Beards: Real or Fake Beards decorated or created with outrageous materials, such as macaroni, yarn, or anything goes.

Contest Info
Anyone can enter! All you need to do is show up with hair on your face. The contest is open to all genders and accepts fake & creative categories. Sizes of beards will all be judged in their own classes. For example, someone with a short business beard would not be competing against a 24" Zues beard,

ABOUT MUSTACHE GROWING CONTST:
Contestants must give up shaving as part of lent and submit a photo on February 18th, Your baby face photo will be taken at registration and then on April 2nd you must email a photo of your mustache at the conclusion of lent. Mustaches will be judged and the winner announced on the Saturday before Easter, Arpil 4 as The Hank Wolek tradition requires.

About History
The Contest is administrated by the Hank Wolek Mustache Club according to NACBMA competition standards for beard contests. Net proceeds will be donated to our annual charitable cause to restore a historic building benefiting the Syracuse Polish Community Foundation Inc. The Hank Wolek Mustache Contest was founded by Hank Wolek in 1953, 72 years ago and is a genuine original American mustache competition. This yers contest is organized by Hank's grandson, Ron Wolek Jr.

Category Guidelines
BEARDS:​
-
Full Beards: As grown, moustache integrated.
-
Verdi Beards: Bottom round; relatively short; cheeks slightly shaved; moustache prominent. Artificial styling aids are permitted.
-
Garibaldi Beards: Wide and full; bottom round; moustache integrated.
-
Whaler Beards: Full Beard with a shaven upper lip. Also known as shenendoah, dutch, or lincholn.
-
Napoleon Beards: Small pointed goatee, clearly separated from the moustache, which is especially prominent. Also known as the Musketeer.
-
Gotee Beards: Side and cheeks must be shaven.
-
Hulihee Beards: Chin must be shaven and mustache is grown to connect with large side burn facial hair grown on the cheeks only.

Balbo Beards: Mustache, Gote, and Mouche (aka soul patch) are fully grown but not connected. Also known as the Hollywoodian.

MUSTACHES:
-
Natural Whiskers: A maximum of 1.5 cm from the end of the upper lip may be grown out. No artificial styling aids are permitted.
-
English: A well groomed and manicured mustache that does not extend to the corner of the mouth, often parted in the center and formed into several famous shapes such as the magnum, pencil, chevron, toothbrush, painters brush, or lampshade. Ends also may be grown to short lengths and styled to narrow points with wax.

Walrus: A Natural mustache that is styled down and will extends over the upper and lower lip.

Dali: beginning at the middle of the upper lip the whiskers are extremely long and pulled slightly curled to the side; the ends are point upward slightly; whiskers beyond the end of the upper lip must be shaved.

Handlebar: Bushy; small, upward pointing ends; areas past the corner of the mouth must be shaved.
-
Imperial: Only whiskers growing on the cheeks and upper lip may be grown out; chin shaved; whiskers growing from the cheeks point upward. Artificial styling aids are permitted.

FuManchu: Whiskers growing from 2 cm beyond the end of the upper lip and downword to the side of the chin may be grown out. Ends are long and point downward past the chin. Also Gengis Kahn form or the American form, made famous by Hulk Hogan.

Horseshoe: Whiskers growing from 2 cm beyond the end of the upper lip and downward to the side of the chin may be grown out. Ends do not grow past the chin.
